Ryan has been professionally designing and developing graphics, visual effects and interactive applications, including creating conceptual and reference art, storyboards, layouts and 3D modeling since 1995.
From 1996 to 2000, he worked for Angel Studios (now known as Rock Star Games) where he created content for leading multimedia companies including Nintendo, Microsoft, Intel and Disney Imagineering. He also designed the creation of 3D environments as well as animated characters and objects for location-based entertainment including interactive motion rides for the 1998 World’s Fair and Walt Disney World. Ryan contributed extensively to best-selling Nintendo 64 and PC games including Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball™, Resident Evil 2™ and Midtown Madness™.
In 2000, Ryan began his own software development company, Nutshell Digital, where he successfully designed and developed database driven websites, interactive training applications, interactive kiosk for the San Diego Chargers stadium luxury boxes, and most recently an online dating system.
In 2003, Progessive Computing absorbed Nutshell Digital where Ryan was able to dedicate all of his time to the further development of an online dating system and speech telephony products.
He recently left the corporate web environment to work at one of the leading 3D production companies in the film industry where he manages a team of stereoscopic artists working on various hollywood productions.
